Both 2018s are solid, yet I suspect neither will match the 2017s. The 2018 Gigondas Terre Des Aines offers a pretty, strawberry and floral perfume to go with a pretty, supple, elegant style on the palate. It’s a spicy, complex, elegant Gigondas that should be approachable in its youth yet also age gracefully.
